Ruth Zack Cunningham
At a young age I wanted to become an artist. But it wasn’t until after my children were grown and I retired from my working days, that I was fully able to realize my artistic passion.
After a short period of studying art history and trying to learn from books how to paint, I then started taking public lessons in Fine Arts and Contemporary Art. Over the years, I learned and was inspired by many private lessons with several very experienced and influential teachers.
My main focus in artistic pursuits has always been to portray the beauty or nostalgia that I see, and to always present my own positive perspective of life.
After being brought up on St. Urbain St. in Montreal, then moving to and working in Toronto, and later in Israel, I now reside in Pierrefonds, Quebec with my husband and two dogs.
