Renée Thibeault

A native of Montreal, Quebec, I came to watercolour as a late bloomer. Previous studies and completing a BSC at McGill U (major in Wildlife Resources) left little room to explore my artistic inclinations.

While taking the Biological Illustration courses offered by entomologist Professor George Hsiung, I discovered the immense satisfaction of putting deep emotions to paper with the help of water as a medium.

More then 20 years later I still take courses and creativity workshops with several well-known artists. I am a member of the Kirkland Artist’s Association & the West Island Artist Association and have exhibited in many solo and group art shows in Montreal and surrounding areas.

I was twice awarded the first prize in the Amateur Watercolour category of the city of Pierrefonds Art Contest, in 2014 & in 2018.

My passion for watercolour allows me to explore my inner self and to profoundly live the present moment. I plan on pursuing it more earnestly before long. I now live in Pierrefonds (17 years) where I’ve also set up my workroom.

My artwork graces private collections across Canada, the US and in Europe.
